Sunday Sum-Up

sunday

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer that I am linking my Sunday Sum-Ups with. I highly suggest visiting the Caffeinated Book Reviewer if you have not already. The blog is beautiful and Kimba is fantastic!

It is the end of the week again, and admittedly I am so behind with every post this week. I am not sure where everything seemed to derail, but it has and now I suffer the “snowball” effect as I try to catch up. But there is a very distant light at the end of the tunnel and I am making a final push!

Unfortunately, I have made little to no progress this week. Between appointments, a wedding and several other factors. I am currently still on the same titles (click for Goodreads link).

I recently completed the Halloween This or That Tag that I invite everyone to participate in if you are seeking a fast and fun little way to add some holiday spirit to your blog.

I will be wrapping up the Fall Favorite Things Blog Tour this coming week. I am very sad to see this one end. As I have mentioned, it has been a fantastic experience and I cannot say enough about Morgan Rath and the entire BookSparks team. If you are given the opportunity to work with them, do it! I was also pleasantly surprised and amazed out how responsive and wonderful all of the authors involved the line-up were.

Here are the reviews I have completed so far for the tour. The Amateurs by Sara Shepard will be the final book:

Keep Her by Leora Krygier

Gilt Hollow By Lorie Langdon

Wendy Darling Vol. 2: Seas by Colleen Oakes

Three Dark Crowns By Kendare Blake

I look forward to the October wrap-ups and seeing what everyone has read for “Spooktober”. I hope everyone has a fabulous week ahead!

Cheers!
Danielle ❤

  1. The Amateurs is one I keep seeing (love that cover) and I think I want to read it, and Three Dark crowns- same thing. I keep seeing good reviews and I’ve added that to my TBR as well.

  2. I requested an ARC of The Amateurs on NetGalley. They’re taking ages to get back to me anymore. I’ll look out for your review of that one. I’m reading Three Dark Crowns next month with my Hype or Like Friday group. I didn’t have time to fit it in this month. I hope I end up liking it as much as you did. 🙂

        1. I am a white wine gal. I am restricted from red due to my migraines qith this stinking lesion. Apparently red wine is a huge trigger for me we learned after a food journal. We have a local vineyard that produces a wine called White Rabbit that is off the hook. I also love Reislings and good California white when I can find it. Nothing fancy. You?

          1. ME TOO!!!!!!!! I looooove white wine. I am not too picky with white. I like moscato (when it has more alcohol than syrup) and cabernet sauvignon. I usually go for a Chile or California brand. Some rose wines are good too.

  3. The This Or That tag was cute. I am interested in seeing your opinion about Three Dark Crowns. You are right, everyone’s October wrap-ups should be interesting. You know, I don’t remember anyone really talking about Halloween themed reads last year, but man it seems to have been a big deal this year. Have a wonderful week and a happy Halloween. 🎃

  4. Slow reading week but busy life! That’s what my week is gonna look like. I have so many appointments that I won’t have time to read much, and I’m going to miss so many hours of studying that my evenings will be full of classes! I hope this week will be less packed for you! I can’t wait to read your review of The Amateurs. Happy Halloween!

  5. Oh gosh, I just looked it up and Drown looks like the kind of book that I would adore. I can’t believe that I’ve never come across it before! Actually, I don’t think I’ve come across any of the books in your sum up. I hadn’t even realised that Sara Shepard was publishing a new book! Whoops.

Big thanks for keeping me informed then, I probably wouldn’t have found this information out by myself. Good luck on your ‘snowball’ effect! I hope everything becomes calm and normal, sooner rather than later. Fleur @ FranklyBooks just posted SISTERS & CAKE | THE SIREN BY KEIRA CASS

  6. Girl, we’re in the snowball effect together <3. With my Feed Reader crashing last week, I now have about a 100 posts to catch up with. By the time I've read 5, there are 7 more added to the list. And reading a book? What's that? 😉 I'm going to dedicate my next couple of hours in the hope of catching up. I see it's the 3AM shift for you again, though, so…*HUGS*. I never asked you about how the wedding was anymore! Mostly because I didn't want to come off as too nosy while you didn't even attend it yet ;). But…how was it?!! 😀 Happy Halloween! :-*
