Dream Waters Giveaway!

Recently I had the great pleasure of connecting with Erin A. Jensen, the author of the Dream Waters Series. I am excited to announce that she has provided 4 signed copies of Dream Waters (Dream Waters #1) for 4 lucky readers 😉

Synopsis:

All his life, Charlie Oliver has watched the people around him morph into creatures that no one else sees. Unlike the rest of the world, Charlie remembers the Waters that transport him to the Dream World each night. And he sees glimpses of people’s Dream forms in the waking world. Condemned to spend his waking hours in a psychiatric facility because of his Dream Sight, Charlie doesn’t expect anything to change. But everything starts changing the day Emma Talbot walks through the door in the middle of a group therapy session.

Haunted by memories of the events that led to her admission, Emma plans to end her life the first chance she gets. But something about Charlie stops her. From the moment they shake hands, his friendship feels safe and familiar. As Emma begins to let down her guard, Charlie catches a glimpse of the fiery-eyed dragon that lurks behind her Dream form. Each night, as Emma dreams of the man who’s been banned from visiting, Charlie searches the Dream World for the monster that shadows her. But when Emma’s suppressed memories begin to surface, Charlie finds more monsters than he bargained for.

Excerpt

After several minutes of uncomfortable silence, she let out a weary sigh and shifted toward me. Out of the corner of my eye, I watched her mouth open to speak, twice. Both times, she stopped before making a sound, which was fine with me. I didn’t care what she had to say.
“I’m not up to a fight right now Nellie,” I muttered flatly.
She shook her head. “I wasn’t going to start one.” When I didn’t answer, she exhaled a slow deliberate breath. “Walk away Charlie.” Her tired voice was laced with hints of sorrow and regret.
I turned to look at her. “What are you talking about?”
“Emma,” she whispered. “She’ll never bring you anything but hurt.”
“I didn’t realize you were psychic in addition to all your other talents.”
Her shoulders sagged. “Not psychic, just experienced.”
“Really?” I snapped. “You were once a guy who was friends with Emma?”
“Don’t be an idiot. I was once a blind fool like you’re being now.”
I turned to stare at the door again. “I don’t have the energy for this Nellie.”
She let out another weary sigh. “Why do you refuse to listen to me? You know I’m more than just a crazy old lady.”
“What’ve you done for me?” I asked bitterly. “You tell me you have all these tricks but you don’t share them with me, you give me vague fortune-cookie-ish warnings of impending doom and you yell at me. According to you, I’m even responsible for blotting out the sun. I squash dreams, remember?”
“Dragons squash dreams.” From the corner of my eye I watched her nervously search the room like she was worried a dragon might be hidden somewhere, listening.
Despite everything, I was curious. “What did dragons do to you?”
I felt her shiver beside me. “Dragon,” she corrected softly, “singular. Deceived me. Used me. Destroyed me.”
I turned toward her and she shifted away from me, but not enough to hide the tears her milky eyes were trying to blink away. “It’s a long story.”
Suddenly, being left alone didn’t seem as important as hearing Nellie’s story. She was the only person I knew with any information about dragons and I really wanted answers. “What else have we got to do?”
She sniffed back the tears. “It isn’t a story with a happy ending.”

    1. Definitely! I am so intrigued. She sent me a signed copy with a lovely inscription that just had me melting.

I am still wanting to do international soon around the holidays. Do you think giftcard would be best? Looking for some feedback haha. I feel bad that shipping makes it so hard.

Hmm… yeah, giftcard is a good one as is a book(s) up to some value from Book Depository.. as free shipping, they delivery nearly everywhere and it’s a ‘spend it on a book you want the most’ kind of thing 🙂 The Book Depository thing seems to be quite popular actually. 🙂

Good morning everyone! I hope the week is being kind so far. It seems as if this cold virus has been making rounds everywhere! I am wishing all of those who are suffering along side of me, a quick recovery. I am tossing in the towel and heading to the doctor after work. Sometimes, enough is enough 😉
