Sunday Sum-Up

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer that I am linking my Sunday Sum-Ups with. Please take time to visit Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer if you have not already. The blog is beautiful and she is fantastic!

Most of you are aware that the last few weeks have been bumpy here. I believe I am finally on the mend after completing several rounds of meds (don’t feel too bad for me, some of them were pretty good – which probably means I have a few comments to apologize for 😉 ). But I will still keep this Sunday post on the shorter side and take a quick look at this last week and a recap of November for Books, Vertigo and Tea.

2 Giveaways, 3 tags, 2 blog tours and 1 introduction post.

◊Book of November ◊

(Thanks again to Jill @RantandRaveAboutBooks for including this gem in the giveaway I won on her beautiful blog.)

Met with a lot of negative feedback and heavily mixed reviews, I found myself going from excited to cautious as I approached Vassa in the Night. Luckily, after about two chapters in, I was able to throw all caution to the wind and allow myself to be absorbed into this uniquely odd retelling of a Russian Folktale. See the review here.

I am wrapping up now on what may feel like a bit of a rushed note, and it is! I am a frantic mother who has been unable to decorate a single thing so far (including the tree, tsk tsk) or shop due to current circumstances, so I am rushing off to do all that the day allows me 🙂 I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and look forward to next week with each of you!

Danielle ❤

  1. I want you to feel fantastic again very very sooooooon! *hugs* Even though I’d steal you some codeine to sleep :p It always works!
I’m hoping to follow your example and write as many reviews as I read books. I read 71 books so far this year but only reviews about 50 of them, I feel bad for those books left behind.

  4. Love Your Sunday Sum-Up’s & can totally understand the WP formatting woes all too well, I spent all of yesterday battling it out with my posts & Gretchen seriously helped me work around it. I’m so happy to read that you’re feeling much better, sounds like you had some really good meds lol. I think I mentioned this to you before, but you have renewed my interest in Vassa, even removed it from the Unhaul shelf haha! I’m taking tomorrow off from work just to do ME things & I guess put up the tree for the 2 tiny humans that live next to my room LOL 🙂

    1. I love tiny humans haha. I hope they enjoy the tree ❤ Me time is always a plus!

I hope you are able to enjoy Vassa the way I did, or I will feel like a jerk 😛 Let me know!

I won't even start WP today.. making me angry bleh. I was thinking of upgrading.. now I am hesitant.

      Hugs ❤

  5. Glad to hear the meds are doing their work and that you’re slowly getting back in shape! The Alchemists of Loom looks really intriguing. Will definitely look forward to your thoughts on that one! 😛 Happy reading!

  6. Glad to hear that things are getting better, Danielle, and I hope you continue to feel even better! ❤

Also super glad that you enjoyed Vassa in the Night! I'm beginning to worry bc it feels like I have yet to see a great review for it, and lo and behold, you gave it five entire stars. 😛
