Sunday Sum-Up/Happy Birthday 2017!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer that I am linking my Sunday Sum-Ups with. Please take time to visit Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer if you have not already. Her blog is fantastic and she is always so supportive of others!

Happy Birthday 2017!

Dear Friends,

This is my brief letter to each of you as we enter another year.  I wish that you achieve your goals and remember they are always in reach. I desire that you find time to embrace the important moments and remember to laugh. I also hope you feel loved and give love. Enjoy some inner peace ❤ It is good for the soul.

I am too tired after the previous year to spend any real amount of energy on recapping all that went “wrong” during 2016. Besides, that is not my style 😉 Every year will have disappointments, but what really matters is that we remove our blinders and see the shining ones in between. I promise, they exist! So here is a big hug, just in case any one is in need of a reminder..

Since I am a terribly lazy blogger who managed to squeeze in my favorites of the year and a brief “2016” summary during my last Sunday post, on with the familiar shall we?

*The amount of reviews this Sunday may seem higher because this is an accumulation of two weeks. I took a brief break last week for the Holiday.

There has not been a lot taking place on the blog for the last two weeks. The holidays have consumed most of my time (rightfully so).  I did finally catch up on one book tag. Yes, I said one. That was the Family of Books tag . You can catch that here if you missed it.

Since we now have a tree to take down soon and some cleaning to do, the busy is not exactly over. But I did manage to complete Frey, so you can expect to see the review very soon. I hope everyone enjoys the last of the holiday and the beginning of the New Year.

Danielle ❤

  1. Those are lovely words and good advice that I’ll gladly take and wish to believe in. I’d rather not think about 2016 anymore either so lets focus on the new year ! Happy 2017 ! Seems like you had a good reading week or 2. Can’t wait to see what you think of the highly praised Birdbox!

  2. I love your positivity ❤ 2016 wasn't the greatest of years for me either, but you're right. We need to remove those blinders and appreciate all the good things that DID happen.

May 2017 bring you tons upon tons of happiness and smiles ❤

    1. In time I am sure things will slow down haha. The end of the year is always busy and a great time to stop and focus more on friends and family. But the reading definitely slows down 😉 I am going to try to head into 2017 with less pressure to read review requests and more effort to tackle my own shelves. I hope you had a wonderful holiday 🙂

  3. Sending lots of hugs and love your way ❤ Let's remember that despite all of the things that went wrong in 2016, we found so many awesome people and have the best of times 🙂
I love to see so many stars around on your reviews, lots of good reads to jump into 2017 with the best spirits!
Happy New Year my lovely ❤

  4. Lots of four and five star books you’ve read recently! That’s great! I know how you feel about being behind though. The holidays had me swamped and haven’t been on WordPress in forever. Hoping to catch up on reviews and posts in the next couple days. I haven’t gotten to Dream Waters yet, but I will soon! Looking forward to seeing what you think about Bird Box, too.
