You Choose, I Read!

You Choose,I Read

I am pretty excited about this feature! Not only do I feel it will be fun, but it could help me really diversify my reading selections. I hope that each of you will participate.

Concept:

I am allowing you to choose one of my next reads. I will include a link with this feature through RaffleCopter where you may submit one book title (with author) and then in a week I will randomly choose a winner. The chosen entry will be my next read and a future review that will credit (and link to to blog if available) of the selected follower. I will host this feature each time the previous selection and review have been completed.

A Few Guideline to Keep in Mind:

  • I will not accept religious titles, romance or erotica.
  • I will also not accept anything below a targeted YA audience (i.e. no middle grade or lower).
  • If I choose to DNF the title, I will still provide a DNF review explaining why.
  • I must be able to actually obtain a copy of the chosen book. If I am not, I will contact you to allow you to choose another title. I will also do this if I have already read the selected title.
  • Please keep page number in mind when selecting titles, as I would like this to be a somewhat regular feature. (Maybe skip GRRM).
  • Last but least, I will adjust these guidelines as needed.

  1. Cool idea for a feature and props for remembering guidelines otherwise it would have been a free for all of anything goes!πŸ˜‚

I recommended a book that I loved and think you’ll like, I was actually nice and not mean!πŸ˜‚

Though FYI there are longer books out there than what GRRM writes!πŸ˜‰

    1. Haha thanks Drew πŸ™‚ I feel pretty safe with your selections as I like most of what you review very much! I figured if I set a limit with GRRM that was keeping it safe.. heaven help me if someone goes over that. Speaking of which, I acquired a leather bound full set of GoT for Mother’s Day. Super excited about those but not sure I am ready to tack a reread bahah.

      1. Ooohhh, a leather bound full set???πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” A full set???πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€” Awesome let me know what Winds of Winter is like!πŸ˜‚

That will be one sweet set though, awesome present and of course today in yank land it’s mothers day even though in the UK it was in March.πŸ˜‚

So, I’m not up on rafflecopter, do I take it that it’ll pick the book/blogger at random? Imagine George Takai voice, oh my!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

        1. Haha .. I actually asked the nonhusband when I opened the books “Soooo what happens when he releases Winds of Winter?”. He gave me a stern look and told me not to start again bahahah.

Yes, It will randomly select the book. I used it with the giveaway that you won πŸ™‚ I like it best just because it is so easy.

          I love George haha!

  2. Ooo love this idea! πŸ˜€ Unfortunately (as you know :P) a lot of my books are romance and the others are mostly books recommended by you πŸ˜› I’m about to read a book that looks quite promising, though. If it’s any good, I’ll be sure to recommend it πŸ™‚

  3. I love this feature, Danielle!! If I wasn’t such a terrible mood reader I would so do something like this lol. By the way, I definitely entered A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab because you were telling me how you still haven’t gotten around to it and well… πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

  4. I’ve entered! You’re very brave – I occasionally do something similar by giving a selection of books and asking people to vote for the one I should read. But even though I select the shortlist, I’ve still ended up with some that were… ahem… hard to enthuse about… πŸ˜‰ Good luck!

  5. I friggin loooove this feature so much. What a fantastic idea!!! I have entered my 2 cents as well πŸ™‚ It’s a short story, seeing as you read some of those and of course I hope the Rafflecopter gods shine upon me and choose my entry for you to read πŸ™‚ hehehehe…
Can’t wait to see the pick and what you’ll be reading next! πŸ™‚

    1. Hehe the Rafflecopter gods.. I have no idea if they be just or not. So fingers crossed πŸ˜‰ But you can always resubmit it for the next one if not! I would not complain to see your title selected. We seem to enjoy a lot of similar titles πŸ™‚

  6. Ooh fun!! I picked something totally at random- but I hope it’ll be something you enjoy (and haven’t read already). Oh and you probs won’t recognise my name as well, so you might not know it’s me, total surprise πŸ˜‰ (just keep that between us- don’t want people knowing I don’t really live up a tree πŸ˜‰ )

    1. Haha. I will announce it on the blog and had plans of crediting the blogger selected. It will be a complete mystery? Or will I be able to figure it out if you are selected? I could always keep the name a mystery and just link to the blog directly.. now I am so curious haha. You are a mystery πŸ˜‰

    1. I have no doubt in your ability to add some fantastic titles to the mix πŸ˜‰ I think it is going to really help me diversify a bit more. We will see how it plays out with me being such a mood reader though ❀

    1. I loved To Kill A Mockingbird! Although, I admit that it has been many years, My daughter was actually just re-reading it. It is a favorite of hers. We were discussing it and I realized I am overdo a re-read as well πŸ˜‰
