My November Favorites

november.png

I am not the best at posting monthly recaps. Hell, I hardly manage my weekly at this rate. But in lieu my discussion post that is temporarily on hold, I thought it would be fun to look back at November and share a few favorite titles, shows and my more popular posts. I am keeping it nice and easy by only including books or shows that were mentioned or reviewed during the actual month of November (as I am way behind on reviews).

Top 3 Reads of November

(I am including my Goodreads rating for these 3 titles even though I know longer use rating on the blog. You can find reviews linked below each.)

Top Posts For November

Looking back, November was still a pretty busy month here on Books, Vertigo and Tea in spite of a few hurdles. I have enjoyed including shows and some anime at times. What were your personal favorites for the past month? Did any specific books or shows standout that you would recommend?

Happy Reading!

  1. Hi Danielle,
I was going to wait until January to resubscribe to Netflix but I keep hearing good things about their new shows, that January can’t get here soon enough. Maybe I missed it, but where did you watch the Ancient Magus Bride? I enjoyed the first book in the series, but sadly didn’t continue on😢

    1. I featured it on a Sunday Sum~Up 🙂 You didn;t miss anything. It was just one of the shows I mentioned I was watching. I am watching it on Crunchy Roll. I will be picking up the manga after the holidays I think. I am hooked! Manga gets expensive though! You will definitely find some good shows when you resub to Netflix! I am a total binger so feel free to email anytime if you are looking for recs haha. So great to have you back on!

      1. As soon as I read Crunchy Roll, I did the old Duh, and smacked myself, softly, on the head. I could’ve guessed. I priced a couple of manga earlier this year at $10-15 and was surprised to find out that was the price for each issue and not for the omnibus.

I cancelled my subscription to Netflix this past summer because I was spending entirely too much time on there. I must be more mindful and manage my time more efficiently. Having said that I will reach out to you once I’m caught up with Stranger Things (only watched Epi.1 Sea.1) Seasons 1 & 2. Thank you, Danielle. It’s good being back.😁

  2. Well after you mentioned you saw a Dutch series on Netflix I decided to give a new one that started on our cable tv a fair try and surprise surprise it’s not so bad :-). It’s called Tabula Rasa about a woman (same actress I think as in the other series) who’s in a psychiatric ward. She suffers memory loss since she had a car accident but writes things down and draws faces in a little journal. There is a guy ‘missing’ also and she’s the last one to have seen him but of course remembers nothing. Through flashbacks in time we’ll work our way to the day of his disappearance and who’s responsible. I’m going to read 13 Minutes as my next Pinborough novel, only have to decide when haha!! I hope you get a good week Danielle, don’t push yourself too hard!

    1. Oh that sounds good! I just googled it though and doesn;t seem like something I can watch here 😦 At least I cannot find it anywhere. That is too bad. I hope you enjoy 13 Minutes as much I did! Pinborough’s writing almost guarantees it though huh? Have a lovely week my friend!
