Sunday Sum~Up

Sunday Sum_Up (1)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer that I am linking my Sunday Sum-Ups with. Stop by and say hello!

I am drafting this up, hoping it will post. The oven escapades continue, leaving a path of destruction in their wake. The longest story in the world made short, they tampered with things they should not have so we lost all online services and now the ovens are still incomplete. I am living off of wi-fi hotspot and trying to conserve data so I will be slow to catch up on comments and posts. But we have new techs coming today, fingers crossed. All in all, a busy week that I am ready to put behind me. Today will be spent picking up our son at the airport and enjoying some overdue family time.

The next newsletter will go out this week, so fill free to sub if interested. The link can be found on the right-hand side of the site (or bottom of the page for mobile users) 😉

Possible Q&A

I have picked up some new followers recently and would love to do a more current “get to know me” post. So I am inviting each of you to leave any possible questions you may have in the comments to help with this. I want to know what you want to know!

Emmett Atwater isn’t just leaving Detroit; he’s leaving Earth. Why the Babel Corporation recruited him is a mystery, but the number of zeroes on their contract has him boarding their lightship and hoping to return to Earth with enough money to take care of his family.

Forever.

Before long, Emmett discovers that he is one of ten recruits, all of whom have troubled pasts and are a long way from home. Now each recruit must earn the right to travel down to the planet of Eden—a planet that Babel has kept hidden—where they will mine a substance called Nyxia that has quietly become the most valuable material in the universe.

But Babel’s ship is full of secrets. And Emmett will face the ultimate choice: win the fortune at any cost, or find a way to fight that won’t forever compromise what it means to be human.

Currently Watching:

Netflix Original – Requiem

I have not listened too much other than my classical music station on Pandora this week. I am looking forward to a new week with fewer hurdles and a bit of normalcy (whatever that may be)! I hope that each of you is well and have enjoyed your weekend. Leave me a comment with your current reads, watches or even questions for the possible Q&A.

  1. Oh my so it’s not over yet.. hopefully soon though!! How are your reading challenges going is what I want to know, are you still on schedule,is it not hard to keep up with that and to read in function of a challenge? I watched The Mountain Between Us yesterday, which was based on a book :-). Have you seen it? It is a romantic story though, maybe not your usual genre? Have a great week Danielle!

      1. Oops missed it but I’ll check it out now :-). You’re doing really well with your challenge! I did like the movie adaptation but I think I would have liked the book just as much or more even. I know lots of people love Idris but he’s not the type of guy I would fall for so the romance was okay but not perfect for my imagination ;-). There was also a dog in it and I was worried the whole time they’d want to eat him at some point :-). Thank you sweets and you too!

      1. Ughhh, Comcast. My brother and sis-n-law just moved and had some issues and had to deal with them. Thankfully my snl is a major Type A personality and very forceful, otherwise the idiots at comcast would not have fixed the problem.

But hey, maybe you’ll get the one intelligent person they hired? 😀

        1. Yeah, sadly we have to be very aggressive with them too. I just pushed until they pulled up the account and saw all of the outages. Now I have a huge credit coming. The thing is, when the service works, I love Xfinity, but they are horrible to deal with and outages are way too often for the cost!!! Haha, so I think anyone who has them is familiar with the pain. Luckily, we are not pushed around too easy 😛

  2. Ooohhh, I’ve seen Requiem! It was on BBC in the UK. I thought it was pretty decent.👌

    Hhhmmm…questions, OK, here goes,

If you could only drink one flavour of tea for the rest of your life what would it be?

To save the world you have to give up either books or tea, which do you choose?

What would your autobiography be called?

Who would play you in a film of your life?

What house would you be in Game of Thrones?

  3. I seriously didn’t know that messing around with an oven could create that much chaos. Crazy setup you got there! 😛 What I want you to share is your evolution as a reader. Since the first time you picked up a book, to how you fell in love with books and how it all built up to who you are today! Okay.. maybe it’s a lot of info and could actually be a whole post of its own, but hey, I tried. 😀 Take care, Danielle!

  4. Oh my lord, how frustrating! I hope this new round of techs gets things sorted. Dealing with inconveniences like these is never fun, but when the mistakes keep piling up on one another it must get very tiring, very fast :/

I have a combo question: If you could only drink one tea for the rest of your life, which would it be? And complimentary to that, what’s the worst tea (either specific or more general) that you’ve ever tried and wouldn’t even wish on your mortal enemy?

Hope the troubles end and you have a wonderful week Danielle! ♥

    1. Aw ❤ Thanks JJ. It has been exhausting. But nonhubs came back and finished the oven (hooray) and last round of techs today (fingers crossed) haha.

Thanks for the combo-question! Very appropriate and will require thought haha 🙂

Have a fantastic week my friend – xx

  5. So, I will be adding Reqium to my watchlist now. 🙂 WiFi Hotspot is awful, we had it for a little while when we first moved where we are now until they ran the lines for our internet. It was so so slow. I hope they get it all fixed for you soon. Have a great Sunday and a wonderful week ahead.

  6. Sounds like Mercury in retrograde to me LOL! SMH this is what I say whenever I’m having techie issues. Yay to new followers & hmmm let’s see, as for my question: Describe your PERFECT ME day…this is something I always think about when I meet other Bloggers with multiple hats on & you my friend are quite amazing. I would like to know, if you had 24 hrs all to yourself to treat yo’ self, what would you do morning to night? 🙂

  7. Ugh, it is so hard living without an oven. I don’t know how I’d eat anything remotely healthy if I couldn’t roast vegetables. Hope everything gets sorted soon! Your newsletter was great. I love your tea recommendations at the end!

  8. I hope your internet has been sorted out! That is the worst. Ours was out for a few hours only the other day, because of high winds, and I was just as grumpy about it as Baz, ha ha. 😝

It’s great to hear all your family members are at home right now. I hope that made for a good week. 💜
