After a week in the City of Mexico I was to return via New Orleans, staying there again a couple of days while the rest of the party went to California. The trip was necessarily a very hurried one, but a glimpse is better than no sight at all. The journey from New York to New Orleans by way of Washington, Atlanta, and Montgomery takes about forty hours.
