In recent years, there has been rise in popularity and visibility of the debate about the last things. Preterists and Futurists have published books, articles, and even movies promoting their respective views. This debate has elevated the interest of the Christian public in eschatological issues. Along with the increased interest in eschatology, there has been a rise in popularity of the Preterist view, which holds that most or all of the prophecies about ChristÕs coming have already been fulfilledÑthat the Òsecond comingÓ took place in 70 AD. Most of the discussion from those who espouse the Preterist view, however, revolves around certain passages in the New Testament, and their treatment of Old Testament passages is sporadic and selective. The importance of the book of Daniel in these discussions cannot be overstated. However, most commentaries on Daniel from a Futurist perspective have not dealt with the PreteristsÕ interpretations of the key prophetic passages. There simply is no detailed commentary on the book of Daniel that addresses the Presterist interpretations of this important book. This book is a commentary on the entire book of Daniel from a Futurist perspective that specifically addresses the Preterist interpretations of the key prophetic passages. This is not a book that selects passages out of the context of the book and attempts to explain their prophetic significance. Rather, this is a commentary on the entire book of Daniel that places these critical prophetic passages in their literary and historical context, and then deals with the various interpretations of these passages as they fit into the context of the book as a whole.

In The Days of These Kings: The Book of Daniel in Preterist Perspective available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever" (Daniel 2:44). The message of Daniel is that Jesus the Messiah is now ruling over the nations. Daniel tells us that Messiah's kingdom will advance in the whole world from "generation to generation" (Daniel 4:4,34). Christ's dominion is "given to the people of the saints of the most High" (Daniel 7:22). Our purpose then is to see "all people, nations, and languages serve and obey him" (Daniel 7:14,27). "This meticulously researched and thorough treatment of Daniel from a preterist perspective includes over 700 pages of commentary, historical background and setting, New Testament allusions, and much more. It is enhanced with charts, tables, maps, illustrations, and topped off with helpful, thorough indexes." - Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr., Th.D.

Download and read online ebook The Work of Daniel Lagache write by Daniel Lagache. This book was released on 2018. The Work of Daniel Lagache available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. "'There is still much to be said about Lagache the psychoanalyst. As early as 1947, he founded the Library of Psychoanalysis and Clinical Psychology at Presses Universitaires de France, and forty-two volumes have appeared, by French and foreign authors, nine of them works or reprints of articles by Freud. It was here, under the direction of Lagache, that Laplanche and Pontalis produced their precise and important The Language of Psychoanalysis (1968), which has been translated into many languages. At the same time, Lagache played a role of prime importance in the history of the psychoanalytic movement in France. He participated actively in two main splits that mark the history of this movement and was president, at their inception, of both the French Psychoanalytic Society in 1952 and the Psychoanalytic Association of France in 1964.Eva Rosenblum collated the texts of The Works of Daniel Lagache and published them in six volumes between 1977 and 1986 at the Presses Universitaires de France. It was an enormous research task, and we can be grateful to her for accomplishing it.The present English edition in one volume is a selection of those texts that are most representative of the psychoanalytic thinking of Daniel Lagache. It is a thinking that is rich in epistemology, ensuring that psychoanalysis is set in relationship to behaviorism and clarifies its status as an "exact science". It deserves to provoke a lively response from the English speaking public.'- From the Foreword by Didier Anzie"--Provided by publisher.
