India is home to nearly a fifth of the global population, yet it contributes less than 4% of global GDP. The asymmetry between Gross and Per Capita GDP itself speaks volumes about the failure of the Indian State to ensure an equitable share of opportunities and provide structural enablement across the population. Human Capital deficiencies, such as skill-gaps viz-a-viz emerging technologies, low economic empowerment and rampant inequity douse the aspirations of the youth. In this milieu, digital technologies provide both challenges and opportunities for capacity building and upward social and economic mobility. India’s transformation to an upper-middle-income economy depends on our ability to effectively leverage the four E’s of development, namely Education, Electronics, Enterprise and Empowerment. Transformational Technologies introduces readers to a diverse range of disruptive technologies and highlights the enormous scope for ideation and action in enterprise, governance and academics.

Reimagining Digital Learning for Sustainable Development available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Reimagining Digital Learning for Sustainable Development is a comprehensive playbook for education leaders, policy makers, and other key stakeholders leading the modernization of learning and development in their institutions as they build a high value knowledge economy and prepare learners for jobs that don't yet exist. Currently, nearly every aspect of human activity, including the ways we absorb and apply learning, is influenced by disruptive digital technologies. The jobs available today are no longer predicators of future employment, and current and future workforce members will need to augment their competencies through a lifetime of continuous upskilling and reskilling to meet the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This book features curated insights and real-world cases from thought leaders throughout the world and identifies major shifts in content formats, pedagogic approaches, technology frameworks, user and design experiences, and learner roles and expectations that will reshape our institutions, including those in emerging economies. The agile, lean, and cost-effective strategies proposed here will function in scalable and flexible bandwidth environments, enabling education leaders and practitioners to transform brick-and-mortar learning organizations into digital and blended ecosystems and to achieve the United Nation’s ambitious Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Download and read online ebook Capacity Building in Technology Transfer write by Massimiliano Granieri. This book was released on 2018-07-12. Capacity Building in Technology Transfer available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. This book tells the story of capacity building in Europe with respect to technology transfer offices and organizations (TTOs). The traditional underdevelopment of technology markets in Europe has often been explained in terms of lack of capacity and skills among technology transfer professionals, both as individuals and as part of TTOs. Because of the severe consequences for economic development and industrial growth, this situation has been repeatedly addressed by policy makers, until the European Commission, within the framework of Horizon 2020, decided to initiate a pan-European pilot project on capacity building. This book builds on the experience gained through that project and tries to reconnect it with current scholarly works on technology management by focusing on the new methodology developed. In addition, the authors present a series of case studies that may be used as a benchmark and as examples that will help high-potential TTOs to improve their performance. Both practitioners and researchers will benefit from the holistic perspective of the book, which goes beyond the traditional approach and attempts to reconcile the theory and practice of organizing for technology transfer.
