The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), conducts the NSFG, a periodic survey that collects data on factors affecting the formation, growth, and dissolution of families—including marriage, divorce, and cohabitation; contraception, sterilization, and infertility; pregnancy outcomes; and, births.
