This book was released on 1983. Field Gradient Control of Magnetostatic Waves for Microwave Signal Processing Applications available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Although magnetostatic wave devices normally employ spatially uniform magnetic bias, control of important features of the modes is afforded through judicious use of dc field gradients. Such control can be the basis for new forms of microwave signal processors. The authors discuss the manner in which gradients in either the field magnitude, direction or both can be employed to synthesize wave dispersion characteristics or mode spectra. This is done to control prespecified characteristics such as frequency rf energy distribution, impedance, velocity of energy propagation and the threshold governing the onset of nonlinear effects due to parametrically-unstable spin waves. The way in which the normal boundary conditions, controlled by the sample geometry, interact with those imposed by the field gradient is also described.

Download and read online ebook Magnetostatic Waves in Inhomogeneous Fields write by V.G. Shavrov. This book was released on 2021-09-05. Magnetostatic Waves in Inhomogeneous Fields available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Magnetostatic waves (MSWs) in magnetodielectric media are fundamental for the creation of various highly efficient devices for analog information processing in the microwave range. These devices include various filters, delay lines, phase shifters, frequency converters, nonreciprocal and nonlinear devices, and others. Magnetostatic Waves in Inhomogeneous Fields examines magnetostatic waves and their distribution in non-uniformly magnetized films and structures. The propagation of magnetostatic waves in magnetodielectric environments is accompanied by numerous and very diverse physical effects, sharply distinguishing them from ordinary electromagnetic waves in isotropic media. The authors address dispersion properties and noncollinearity of phase and group velocity vectors, as well as non-reciprocal propagation. Key Features Offers mathematical tools used in the calculation of properties of magnetostatic waves Includes a current literature review of magnetostatic waves and domain structures in garnet–ferrite films Considers the issue of converting magnetostatic waves into electromagnetic ones
