Discrete Signals and Inverse Problems available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Discrete Signals and Inverse Problems examines fundamental concepts necessary to engineers and scientists working with discrete signal processing and inverse problem solving, and places emphasis on the clear understanding of algorithms within the context of application needs. Based on the original ‘Introduction to Discrete Signals and Inverse Problems in Civil Engineering’, this expanded and enriched version: combines discrete signal processing and inverse problem solving in one book covers the most versatile tools that are needed to process engineering and scientific data presents step-by-step ‘implementation procedures’ for the most relevant algorithms provides instructive figures, solved examples and insightful exercises Discrete Signals and Inverse Problems is essential reading for experimental researchers and practicing engineers in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, non-destructive testing and instrumentation. This book is also an excellent reference for advanced undergraduate students and graduate students in engineering and science.

Download and read online ebook Surface Waves in Geomechanics: Direct and Inverse Modelling for Soils and Rocks write by Carlo G. Lai. This book was released on 2007-03-23. Surface Waves in Geomechanics: Direct and Inverse Modelling for Soils and Rocks available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Theories of surface waves develop since the end of XIX century and many fundamental problems like existence, phase and group velocities, attenuation (quality factor), mode conversion, etc. have been, in part successfully, solved within the framework of such simple models as ideal fluids^ or linear elasticity. However, a sufficiently complete presentation of this subject, particularly for solids, is still missing in the literature. The sole exception is the book of I. A. Viktorov^ which contains an extensive discussion of fundamental properties of surface waves in homogeneous and stratified linear elastic solids with particular emphasis on contributions of Russian scientists. Unfortunately, the book has never been translated to English and its Russian version is also hardly available. Practical applications of surface waves develop intensively since a much shorter period of time than theories even though the motivation of discoverers of surface waves such as Lord Rayleigh stems from their appearance in geophysics and seismology. Nowadays the growing interest in practical applications of surface waves stem from the following two main factors: surface waves are ideal for developing relatively cheap and convenient methods of nondestructive testing of various systems spanning from nanomaterials (e.g.

Download and read online ebook Introductory Signal Processing write by Roland Priemer. This book was released on 1990-11-29. Introductory Signal Processing available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. A valuable introduction to the fundamentals of continuous and discrete time signal processing, this book is intended for the reader with little or no background in this subject. The emphasis is on development from basic principles. With this book the reader can become knowledgeable about both the theoretical and practical aspects of digital signal processing. Some special features of this book are: (1) gradual and step-by-step development of the mathematics for signal processing, (2) numerous examples and homework problems, (3) evolutionary development of Fourier series, Discrete Fourier Transform, Fourier Transform, Laplace Transform, and Z-Transform, (4) emphasis on the relationship between continuous and discrete time signal processing, (5) many examples of using the computer for applying the theory, (6) computer based assignments to gain practical insight, (7) a set of computer programs to aid the reader in applying the theory.
