Download and read online ebook On Logical, Algebraic, and Probabilistic Aspects of Fuzzy Set Theory write by Susanne Saminger-Platz. This book was released on 2016-01-11. On Logical, Algebraic, and Probabilistic Aspects of Fuzzy Set Theory available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. The book is a collection of contributions by leading experts, developed around traditional themes discussed at the annual Linz Seminars on Fuzzy Set Theory. The different chapters have been written by former PhD students, colleagues, co-authors and friends of Peter Klement, a leading researcher and the organizer of the Linz Seminars on Fuzzy Set Theory. The book also includes advanced findings on topics inspired by Klement’s research activities, concerning copulas, measures and integrals, as well as aggregation problems. Some of the chapters reflect personal views and controversial aspects of traditional topics, while others deal with deep mathematical theories, such as the algebraic and logical foundations of fuzzy set theory and fuzzy logic. Originally thought as an homage to Peter Klement, the book also represents an advanced reference guide to the mathematical theories related to fuzzy logic and fuzzy set theory with the potential to stimulate important discussions on new research directions in the field.

Download and read online ebook Advances in Fuzzy Implication Functions write by Michał Baczyński. This book was released on 2013-01-11. Advances in Fuzzy Implication Functions available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Fuzzy implication functions are one of the main operations in fuzzy logic. They generalize the classical implication, which takes values in the set {0,1}, to fuzzy logic, where the truth values belong to the unit interval [0,1]. These functions are not only fundamental for fuzzy logic systems, fuzzy control, approximate reasoning and expert systems, but they also play a significant role in mathematical fuzzy logic, in fuzzy mathematical morphology and image processing, in defining fuzzy subsethood measures and in solving fuzzy relational equations. This volume collects 8 research papers on fuzzy implication functions. Three articles focus on the construction methods, on different ways of generating new classes and on the common properties of implications and their dependencies. Two articles discuss implications defined on lattices, in particular implication functions in interval-valued fuzzy set theories. One paper summarizes the sufficient and necessary conditions of solutions for one distributivity equation of implication. The following paper analyzes compositions based on a binary operation * and discusses the dependencies between the algebraic properties of this operation and the induced sup-* composition. The last article discusses some open problems related to fuzzy implications, which have either been completely solved or those for which partial answers are known. These papers aim to present today’s state-of-the-art in this area.

Download and read online ebook Fuzzy Logic and Information Fusion write by Tomasa Calvo Sánchez. This book was released on 2016-05-10. Fuzzy Logic and Information Fusion available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. This book offers a timely report on key theories and applications of soft-computing. Written in honour of Professor Gaspar Mayor on his 70th birthday, it primarily focuses on areas related to his research, including fuzzy binary operators, aggregation functions, multi-distances, and fuzzy consensus/decision models. It also discusses a number of interesting applications such as the implementation of fuzzy mathematical morphology based on Mayor-Torrens t-norms. Importantly, the different chapters, authored by leading experts, present novel results and offer new perspectives on different aspects of Mayor’s research. The book also includes an overview of evolutionary fuzzy systems, a topic that is not one of Mayor’s main areas of interest, and a final chapter written by the Spanish pioneer in fuzzy logic, Professor E. Trillas. Computer and decision scientists, knowledge engineers and mathematicians alike will find here an authoritative overview of key soft-computing concepts and techniques.
