Nanoscience in Food and Agriculture 1 available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Nanotechnology is a fast-evolving discipline that already produces outstanding basic knowledge and industrial applications for the benefit of society. Whereas the first applications of nanotechnology have been developed mainly in material sciences, applications in the agriculture and food sectors are still emerging. Due to a rapid population growth there is a need to produce food and beverages in a more efficient, safe and sustainable way. Here, nanotechnology is a promising way to improve crop production, water quality, nutrition, packaging, and food security. There are actually few comprehensive reviews and clear textbooks on nanotechnology in agriculture, water, and food. In this book there are 10 chapters describing the synthesis and application of nanomaterials for health, food, and agriculture are presented. Nanomaterials with unique properties will dramatically improve agriculture and food production. Applications will include nanofertilisers to enhance plant growth and nanosensors to detect food contamination. An overall view of nanotechnology applications in agriculture, food, water, and environment are described in the first two chapters by Dasgupta et al. and Singh. Health and environmental applications of nanotechnology are presented in chapters 3-5. Shukla and Iravani review green methods to synthesize metal nanoparticles, and give applications to water purification, in chapter 3. The removal of up to 95% of contaminants by nanoparticles, nanotubes and nanostructured membranes is described by Naghdi et al. in chapter 4. Yoti et al. then review nanosensors for the detection of pathogenic bacteria in chapter 5. Those nanosensors can be used as biodiagnostics to control food and water quality. Food applications of nanoscience are presented in chapters 6 and 7 by Kuswandi and Sarkhar et al. Kuswandi explain in chapter 6 that nanomaterials can improve packaging quality and that nanosensors can detect freshness and contanimants. The use of nanoparticles to protect ingredients such as vitamins, flavours, and antimicrobials is reviewed by Sarkhar et al. in chapter 7.

Nanorobotics and Nanodiagnostics in Integrative Biology and Biomedicine available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Nanorobotics and Nanodiagnostics in Integrative Biology and Biomedicine "Nanorobotics and nanodiagnostics” can be defined as a new generation of biohybrid and nanorobotics that translate fundamental biological principles into engineering design rules, or integrative living components into synthetic structures to create biorobots and nanodiagnotics that perform like natural systems. Nanorobots or nanobots are structured of a nanoscale made of individual assemblies. They can be termed as intelligent systems manufactured with self-assembly strategies by chemical, physical and biological approaches. The nanorobot can determine the structure and enhance the adaptability to the environment in interdisciplinary tasks. "Nanorobotics and nanodiagnostics" is a new generation of biohybrid that translates fundamental biological principles into engineering design rules to create biorobots that perform like natural systems. These biorobotics and diagnostics can now perform various missions to be accomplished certain tasks in the research areas such as integrative biology and biomedicine. "Nanorobotics and Nanodiagnostics in Integrative Biology and Biomedicine" sheds light on a comprehensive overview of the multidisciplinary areas that explore nanotherapeutics and nanorobotic manipulation in biology and medicine. It provides up-to-date knowledge of the promising fields of integrative biology and biomedicine for nano-assisted biorobotics and diagnostics to detect and treat diseases that will enable new scientific discoveries. /div

Download and read online ebook PHARMACOLOGICAL AND TOXICOLOGICAL SCREENING METHODS-II write by Dr. Trilochan Satapathy. This book was released on . PHARMACOLOGICAL AND TOXICOLOGICAL SCREENING METHODS-II available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. A complete handbook on toxicology covers basic principles, regulatory criteria, and sophisticated methods for understanding and assuring the safety of varied chemicals in the following pages. Introduction to toxicology, "Toxicology Fundamentals and Regulatory Guidelines," covers broad overviews, mechanistic toxicology, regulatory frameworks, and descriptive toxicology. Focus is on OECD, ICH, EPA, and Schedule Y regulatory criteria, as well as the history and importance of Good Laboratory Practise (GLP) in drug development. As the book explores "Types of Toxicity Studies and Test Item Characterization," it examines acute, sub-acute, chronic, and particular acute investigations, including oral, cutaneous, and inhalational toxicity studies. Test item characterisation procedures are carefully explained, emphasising their importance in regulatory compliance and toxicity evaluation. This leads to "Advanced Toxicology Studies," which covers reproductive toxicology, genotoxicity, and in vivo carcinogenicity. These investigations provide a thorough view of possible dangers and evaluate drug safety. The book then discusses "IND Enabling Studies and Safety Pharmacology," which covers the necessary research for IND applications. Exploring regulatory settings, corporate views, and safety pharmacology in drug development provides a complete knowledge of experimental substance safety. The third part, "Toxicokinetic and Alternatives to Animal Testing," emphasises toxicokinetic assessment and discusses new methods. Following the evolution of safety assessment practises, these options are investigated for ethical and regulatory consequences. Students, researchers, and professionals traversing toxicology's difficult landscape may find this book invaluable. Its extensive coverage, from basic concepts to sophisticated approaches, makes it an important tool for protecting humans and ecosystems in the dynamic pharmaceuticals and beyond industries.
