Excerpt from Progress Report on the Cooperative State-Federal Brucellosis Eradication Program: Calendar Year 1963 Although it is believed that avail able tools and knowledge are ade quate to eradicate brucellosis in this country, it is recommended that research be continued as may be needed to support the program in the future. Considering the economy and the effectiveness of market cattle test ing, it is recommended that Fed eral support of State programs be related to the extent that 'market cattle testing is being used. The intensified effort to eradicate the disease from swine should be continued with special emphasis on the development of a market swine testing program.
