We shall discuss only the nature of reality; in systems language, this may be called systems ontology or systems philosophy. Systems ontology analyzes the nature of the systems, as realized at various levels. A reality and living systems have a common feature: both strive for "eternal" existence. Existence means wholeness of the entity - i.e., independence and without external interaction. Most philosophies hold dearly in many ways the characteristics of systems philosophy. We shall use many ancient philosophy as illustrations to show their commonalities with systems thinking.

Guide to Discuss Science: the Systems Thinking of Tao Philosophy available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Systems thinking has become a platform to discuss science, living organisms, sociology, and psychology, and philosophy. A systems theory starts with the function of a system and then identifies the network of the subsystems to support the function. In addition, philosophical subsystems are the underlying propositions that can be used to support the argument for a reality. Therefore, the reality is also a complex of networks of subsystems of many levels. In this book, they are described as a complex system that has a set of objects which together form the patterns of organization. Each reality is represented as an organic form or pattern consisting of objects. We will encounter the principle of Oneness in the logic structure in Tao philosophy as a way to overcome the traditional dualistic interpretation of the Tao Te Ching. We show that Tao philosophy, along with many other ancient philosophies, may be understood in terms of systems. Systems view is another good way to understand the logic in Tao philosophy.

Buddhist and Taoist Systems Thinking available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Buddhist and Taoist Systems Thinking explores a radical new conception of business and management. It is grounded on the reconnection of humans with nature as the new competitive advantage for living organizations and entrepreneurs that aspire to regenerate the economy and drive a positive impact on the planet, in the context of the Anthropocene. Organizations today struggle in finding a balance between maximizing profits and generating value for their stakeholders, the environment and the society at large. This happens in a paradigm shift characterized by unprecedented levels of exponential change and the emergence of disruptive technologies. Adaptability, thus, is becoming the new business imperative. How can, then, entrepreneurs and organizations constantly adapt and, at the same time, design the sustainable futures they’d like? This book uniquely explores the benefits of applying Buddhist and Taoist Systems Thinking to sustainable management. Grounded in Taoist and Zen Buddhist philosophies, it offers a modern scientific perspective fundamentally based on the concepts of bio-logical adaptability and lifefulness amidst complexity and constant change. The book introduces the new concept of the Gaia organization as a living organism that consciously helps perpetuate the conditions for life on the planet. It is subject to the natural laws of transformation and the principles of oneness, emptiness, impermanence, balance, self-regulation and harmonization. Readers will find applied Eastern systems theories such as the Yin-Yang and the Five Elements operationalized through practical methodologies and tools such as T-Qualia and the Zen Business model. They are aimed at guiding Gaia organizations and entrepreneurs in leading sustainable transformations and qualifying economic growth. The book offers a vital toolkit for purpose-driven practitioners, management researchers, students, social entrepreneurs, evaluators and change-makers to reinvent, create and mindfully manage sustainable and agile organizations that drive systemic transformation.

Download and read online ebook The Logic of Tao Philosophy write by Wayne L. Wang Ph. D.. This book was released on 2013-04. The Logic of Tao Philosophy available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. In summary, we may declare that Lao-tzu is an authentic philosopher and he uses a clear logic to describe his principle in the Tao Te Ching. Tao philosophy deals with the nature of reality. We come to such a conclusion despite the overwhelming belief to the contrary. We no longer need to accept Tao philosophy as a mysterious philosophy. Instead, we have shown that there is a definite principle and a clear logic in the Tao Te Ching. The principle and logic can be shown with a systematic model based on the words of Lao-tzu. The results are well beyond what we could have expected when we started this project more than a decade ago. This work represents a major step in our understanding of Tao philosophy. This book shows the complete logical structure of Tao philosophy, which can serve as the ultimate base for a consistent interpretation of the Tao Te Ching. The logic of Tao philosophy is precise and can be presented analytically.
