The elemental cannot understand the thought of a person; it can only be reached when the exact scale of being, to which the elemental belongs, is vibrated by sound, colour, or form. By correlating the vibrations of sound, colour, form, number, and substance, the Adept rules over and commands the elemental forces that underlie the phenomena of nature. The evolution of the spiritual falling into the physical (from mineral, plant, and animal, up to man) takes place only during the First Round. At the middle of the Fourth Round, when the downward evolution turns upward (from physical to spiritual) man appears before anything else on earth. The matter composing the objects we see and touch, continually returns to its pre-primordial condition of purity and light, which no mortal eye can see or bear its radiance.
